Turning a Sousa march into ragtime is an old showman's trick, and few ever did it with more relish than Eubie Blake. His Stars and Stripes Forever comes from The Eighty-Six Years of Eubie Blake, the celebrated 1969 Columbia double album recorded when Blake was in his eighties.

The left hand keeps parade time while the right syncopates the famous tune into something Sousa never imagined; you can practically hear Blake grinning.

Free to add to your library, with the two hands transcribed on separate channels.
